TI was part of warner group, one of the biggest media conglomerates in the world. IPC decided this would save their magazines. Now time inc is part of meredith group.

Dennis is the biggest independent magazine publisher in the UK. He does the minecraft magazines.
Without advertising no magazine could survive, if there's no adverts prices would be four times greater

BIG ISSUE
1991 founders Lord John Bird and Gordon Roddick, sold only on streets to help those in poverty. It is 'A publishing revolution.' . A social enterprise. Magazine sold to homeless people from small business and all their profit is there. A business solution to a social problem. Big Issue went global, launched in Australia, USA, South Africa, Korea and more. Sold over 200 million copies since 1991, in the UK alone.
They have widened their brand and made a Big Issue Shop.
